The only thing we ask you to leave out is damaged currency.
If you're not sure, pop it in anyway and we'll let you know.
-
Nope.
No counting.
No sorting.
No spreadsheets.Just fill your bag and we'll take care of the rest.
-
Great question.
Registering your bag helps us connect your donation to you, so we can:
Apply Gift Aid where eligible
Keep you updated on your donation's journey
Tell you how much your donation was worth
Share the impact you've helped create
Without registration, your donation can still help, but we won't be able to keep you in the loop.
-
Once your bag has been returned, the journey looks something like this:
You fill a bag
→ We collect it
→ It gets counted and verified
→ Forgotten currency becomes real funding
→ Your chosen charity receives the funds
→ Good things happenSimple.
-
We're committed to keeping things transparent.
Processing, exchange and administration fees are capped at a maximum of 25%.
Where Gift Aid is successfully claimed, many campaigns will recover some or all of these costs, helping maximise the amount reaching the charity.

You might be surprised what's been sitting in that kitchen drawer all these years.
Champion FAQ

Champions are the people who bring a campaign to life.
They inspire participation, encourage action and help keep everything moving.
Or, to put it another way:
Without Champions, the magic doesn't happen.

A Blessing is the collective noun for unicorns.
Around here, it's also what we call our community of Champions.
Because a group of people doing good together deserves a better name than "volunteers".

Charity Partner FAQ
-
Most fundraising asks people to give something new.
Unicorn Foundry takes a different approach.
We help charities uncover value that's already there.
We're starting with forgotten currency: leftover travel money, foreign coins and banknotes, pre-Euro currencies and other out-of-circulation money that often lies forgotten at home.
By turning overlooked value into charitable funding, we help people support causes they care about without reaching further into their pockets.
Because sometimes the most valuable things are the ones we've forgotten about.
-
Because we're not asking people to donate new money.
We're helping them rediscover money they already have.
That simple shift makes participation easier, more enjoyable and surprisingly effective.
-
We've designed Unicorn Foundry to be simple.
We provide:
Campaign infrastructure
Collection bags
Donor registration
Reporting
Champion support
Processing and logistics
Your main role is helping recruit Champions and sharing the campaign with your community.
We'll help with the rest.
-
Behind the scenes, Unicorn Foundry works with specialist processing partners who:
Count donations
Verify currency
Value donations
Convert currency into charitable funds
You focus on your cause.
We focus on the infrastructure.
-
Charities typically receive funds within 30-45 days of donations being collected and delivered for processing.
We'll keep you informed every step of the way.
-
The answer is surprisingly simple:
Engaged Champions.
The campaigns that perform best are the ones where Champions actively encourage participation, celebrate progress and keep momentum alive.
People inspire people.
That's where the real magic happens.
